We hope to see your teen thrive this 2023 academic year with stronger grades, stronger study habits, and stronger motivation towards finding success.
Just a couple of notes that we wanted to bring to your radar as friendly reminders:
The SAT Exam is going completely digital in 2024, and while that is still 1 calendar year away, it is going to be a complete game-changer for current Freshmen and Sophomores. The exam is going to be computer adaptive, meaning that the questions will calibrate based on the number of correct/wrong questions answered throughout the test.
We believe that the importance of academic grades in core subjects in Mathematics, English, and Sciences have become more important as college admission officers fine-tune what they are focused on to evaluate students.
While every single class you take is very important for learning purposes, some are more important than others for college admissions.
We view Mathematics, English, and Science coursework to be among some of the most important items on an academic transcript when you prepare for admissions. Along side with a strong SAT Score, strong grades in these areas represent a meaningful addition to college applications for universities with selective admissions.
Many of our 1:1 coaches at Tigerway now help students with high school academic coursework in the following areas:
Algebra (1 and 2), Geometry, Pre-Calculus (Becoming stronger at math)
English Writing (Becoming a better writer)
Biology, Chemistry, Physics (Becoming more skilled in the Sciences) - Limited availability
This is absolutely the year to take your grades to the next level, maximize your odds at admissions success, and secure as many scholarships as possible to reduce student loan debt down the road.
Our Program Officer Jasmine Ngo is very thoughtful in her brainstorming sessions with parents and helps them to create a high-level plan to make their teen more successful and ready for college admissions season.
We generally have more 1:1 Coaches who are dedicated to the SAT/ACT Exam.
Subject-based academic coaching has far less availability because we sometimes get more demand on this area than we have coaches for. Schedule a call today to see if we have availability.
