May SAT is next on May 4th, 2024!
You can register here through the Collegeboard Website
In this email, I will be going over two digital SAT questions with you to help prepare you for the upcoming SAT exam in MAY! Take a moment to try these questions out yourself before reading my commentary!
Math Question (Practice Test #4)
Jasmine’s Commentary
Given that point O is the center of a circle and the measure of arc RS on the circle is 100°.
Points R and S lie on the circle, making OR and OS radii of the circle.
∠ROS is a central angle formed by two radii of the circle, with its vertex at the center.
Because the degree measure of an arc is equal to the measure of its associated central angle, ∠ROS measures 100°.
100 is the answer
English Question (Practice Test #4)
Jasmine’s Commentary:
The speaker describes a beautiful sight: a black cypress tree against a golden sky, resembling a pointing finger & wonders about its meaning: why the finger is black and pointing upward.
The text progresses from describing nature to pondering its significance.
The speaker doesn't question her initial assessment of the scene but wonders about its deeper meaning.
No indication of people present in the scene, and the speaker doesn't discuss her emotional state.
Choice B is the answer
Practice is important! As you expose yourself to more questions like these, you’ll be more prepared for when you face the exam in the future! The earlier you do this, the better you will be and the more benefits you will have in your study habits, college choices, and future opportunities!
