Tigerway Team Members and Families,
As the school year draws to a close and summer approaches, remember that this time presents valuable opportunities for growth, learning, and preparation for the future!
Stay organized, motivated, and focused on your goals, you can make the most of this time and set yourself up for success in the months ahead.
Here’s how you can end the year strong and start your next school year even stronger
Review and Prepare for End-of-Year Exams!
Take time to review materials covered throughout the school year in preparation for end-of-year exams.
Create a study schedule to ensure you cover all necessary topics and allocate enough time for review.
Meet with your teachers after school if you want a review or have any questions!
Plan Ahead for the Summer
Consider your academic goals for the summer, whether it's preparing for standardized tests, exploring new subjects, or engaging in extracurriculars!
Research summer programs, internships, or volunteer opportunities that are available around you! These opportunities will help you gain more experience and exposure to things you may like or don’t like.
Prepare for the Next SAT
Begin your SAT preparation early to give yourself more time to review content, practice questions, and familiarize yourself with the test format! Get familiar with and practice more questions.
Take advantage of SAT prep books, online resources, and practice tests to hone your skills and build confidence. Tigerway has a digital library with all the latest material!
Develop a study schedule that fits your needs and allows you to balance SAT prep with other summer activities. Our coaches at Tigerway can help you personalize a curriculum based on your interests, strengths, and weaknesses.
Start College Application Preparation!
As a Junior, the College application season can be pretty taunting.
Begin gathering information and materials needed for college applications, such as transcripts, test scores, and letters of recommendation. (NOW IS THE TIME!)
Research colleges and universities you're interested in attending and familiarize yourself with their application requirements and deadlines. Plan to visit them during the summer to see what the campus is like.
Make a CommonApp account early to see what each school’s application requirement looks like.
Start drafting ideas for the college essays. These can be found on the school’s website or CommonApp!
Draft your resume for college and scholarship applications
