This email is written by Jasmine Ngo, Tigerway’s Program Officer.
Tigerway Parents and Students,
With the summer season quickly approaching, it's the perfect time to start planning how you can maximize your time and invest in your future! In this email, I want to discuss the exciting opportunities available through summer programs to make your summer worthwhile!
Participating in summer programs can help you gain valuable skills, knowledge, and experiences. Summer programs offer a wide range of opportunities for high school students, from academic programs to leadership development, community service, research, and career exploration. These programs are often done to provide immersive learning environments for passionate students. Many of these programs are established by universities, companies, non-profit organizations, and more.
The Benefits of Summer Programs
Expand your knowledge and skills: You can learn new subjects, explore new fields, and gain hands-on experience in your areas of interest. This can help you prepare for college and future career opportunities.
Build your resume: Summer programs look great on college applications and resumes. They demonstrate your commitment to learning, initiative, and dedication to application officers.
Network with peers and professionals: Summer programs offer opportunities to meet other students with similar interests and to connect with professionals in your field. These connections can be valuable in the future when you're seeking internships, jobs, or recommendations.
Gain better study and work habits: Summer programs often involve managing your own schedule and activities. This can help you develop independence, confidence, and self-reliance.
