Tigerway: How SAT English Skills could help you become more influential
The SAT is an opportunity for teens to build life-long concrete skills
Note to Families: The Academic year is starting, and this is a powerful opportunity to capitalize on building the lifelong skills in math and english that could help your teen succeed in college and beyond.
Dear Tigerway Team Members, Parents, and Prospective Families,
Now that Team Members have taken the August SAT, we are moving forward to prepare more Team Members for the upcoming October SAT. Team Members will build familiarity with the content as they join and strengthen their skills for the next exam. The skill of recognizing strategies and patterns within the SAT is necessary and Tigerway teaches this skill the best. Tigerway introduces unique methods that integrate academic and life applications.
Mastering English can enhance its influence on others. Mastering Math can allow you to recognize patterns that others may not see.
Here is a prime example of how Coach Larry applies advanced writing skills to build a powerful online community via his public email letter.
He incorporates powerful references from Literature and History to make his content more interesting (from Reading Comprehension)
He uses powerful punctuation and transitions to make his content convey his tone (From Grammar)
He uses very dedicated word choice to connect with his readers on a deeper level (From grammar
Outcome: He is building one of the most respected Communities surrounding economics, finance, and investor education on the internet. All of this could not be accomplished without mastering and applying the skills from the SAT.
With strong English skills, you potentially have the opportunity become a small or medium size KOL (Key Opinion Leader) in the future if you develop a certain type of expertise.
This is the path Larry has taken, and this is the path he wants to show you how to accomplish.
But it all starts from the SAT, at the high school level.
Strong academic skills translate into real life skills in the future. And real skills allow you to build or enhance your future career aspirations.
These aptitudes bring Team Members further in life as they gain more leverage in controlling what happens in their surroundings by understanding their environment and adapting effectively.
This content exposure for Team Members is critical to becoming successful in any profession that they pursue.
Here are two case studies that have shown some of these life skills (and turned them into very high SAT scores):
Adithi Katikhaneni: Adithi found the Tigerway material rigorous and engaging. Tigerway's unique strategies helped her further understand her test-taking capabilities. Tigerway helped Adithi further understand her psychological strengths and weaknesses that were once obstacles for her test. Adithi built confidence and composure while studying and preparing for her exams. By the end of the program, Adithi transformed her 1360 to a 1500.
Eric Yu: Eric expected the program to be like any other typical tutoring program. However, as soon as Eric joined the program, he was surprised by how engaging and intense the program was. Tigerway provided guidance and discipline that helped Eric in and out of school. Eric discovered new methods for becoming a better problem solver and analyzer. Eric remained patient throughout his journey and continued to work hard. By the end of the program, Eric scored a 1400+ on the SAT.
If your son or daughter is an underclassman (9th/10th/11th grade) it would be advantageous to have a brainstorming session with Coach Larry’s team to understand how our programs can help you position yourself for success.Â
As the college landscape evolves, I am now exploring more ways to help our Team at Tigerway shine in the college admission process.
