August SAT Scores are out!
Congratulations to our Team Members that crossed Mega Star status (1400 or above out of 1600) on the SAT:
We have a couple stories to share with you, some of which need to be abstracted because of some parents’ desire to keep names anonymous. But you can see in our conversation images below that our families at Tigerway are very happy.
SAT Outcomes
Netrang D. (From Seattle): Stayed in the 1300 SAT region for a long time, but finally broke through to 1430 on the August Test.
D.S (From East Coast): Started in the 1200 region on the PSAT, and then skyrocketed to a 1490 on the August Test
S.D: Soared into the 1520 SAT Score range on the August SAT

Scores above the 95th percentile or above have a significant boost in college applications.Â
Read your subscores and determine which topics need more focus.
Determine if your score qualifies for the colleges you want to go to
For those who did not get the scores you expected, trust the model and be patient. Patience is one of the most important skills to have in and out of school. As you continue to work hard on your academics, identify what variables might have affected your score. Adapt to your changing environment. Remember that comfort is not the key to growth

Some parents are even spending up to $15,000 per month on private tutoring (which we believe is extreme). However, this example shows how competitive the landscape has become in order to get the best possible Academic results and SAT Scores.
Another blurb from this article demonstrates that parents with immense resources are fully committing to private tutoring services that are well beyond the scope of most American families.
In our opinion, this article highlights the inequality in the U.S. educational system.
It is an understatement that parents with more resources are able to influence their children’s admission chances.
BUT we believe that at Tigerway, we are able to to secure college admission outcomes and higher SAT scores at a FRACTION of what these parents are paying.
Some parents pay hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to boost their children’s academic and SAT outcomes, sometimes with little to no results.
