Tigerway Team Members and Families,
It is November!! This means we have only 4 more months until the new SAT is out.
Tigerway wants YOU to be prepared.
Mark your calendars on November 16th at 5:30pm!
Tigerway is hosting a conference to help prepare you for the new Digital SAT. We'll cover key changes in the exam, explore thematic question types, discuss college admission trends, and share valuable study tips. The conference is open to all and offers EXCLUSIVE insight to excel in the Digital SAT.
During this conference, we will address what students can expect in the upcoming Digital SAT scheduled for the next year. Additionally, parents will have the opportunity to gain an understanding on what’s new on the SAT.
Along with this discussion, we will also offer insights into exclusive Digital Library, featuring new materials specifically designed for the digital SAT.
Be sure to RSVP for the conference:
Along with our year-end conference in November, I want to go over one math question with you to give you a sneak peek of the digital SAT content.
How do we approach this problem?
Given a line (2y = 4.5) intersecting a parabola (y = -4x^2 + bx) with a single point of intersection.
This implies a unique solution for the system of equations (2y = 4.5 and y = -4x^2 + bx).
Simplifying, we find y = 2.25 and 4x^2 - bx + 2.25 = 0.
A quadratic equation has a single solution when its discriminant (b^2 - 4ac) equals zero.
Substituting a=4 and c=2.25, we get b^2 - 36 = 0.
Solving for b, we find b = ±6, and since b is positive, the answer is 6.
For more content and insights like this, join our conference on November 16th where you can learn more about the upcoming Digital SAT and our program overall. Attendees will receive a copy of the conference material to go over work and more.
Make sure to also share our email newsletter with friends and family looking to improve their grades and SAT Scores to increase college admission outcomes.
