Dear Tigerway Community,
The Digital SAT’s first testing administration will be held in March 2024, and that means there are about 5 months remaining before the SAT is completely overhauled in the U.S. The December 2023 SAT Exam will be the final edition of the current testing format that students have been familiar with since 2016.
In order to provide an edge to our Team Member Student and Parent Community, I examined International Digital SAT Testing administrations that were held since March of earlier this year. I want to share some insights, in bullet point format:
The Math and English sections of the exam will have 2 Modules per section (2 for Math, 2 for English). The difficulty of Module 2 will depend on the performance of the test-taker’s outcome from Module 1 since the exam is now adaptive.
Our observation of Module 1 questions is that they appear to be relatively straightforward, but Module 2 questions are significantly harder than the practice questions found in Bluebook and the College Board website.
The challenging aspects of Module 2 questions include difficulty level of the question itself and time management, which were cited in international student surveys as areas that were much more challenging than Module 1 questions.
Tigerway is actively sourcing new content to do a complete overhaul of our Digital Library to include the newest and most effective strategies to grow on the new format for the Digital SAT.
In the meantime, we are going to be forming a new Community Communication Channel on WhatsApp for students to move away from Discord. If you are a student in our Program, make sure to join now.
