Tigerway Team Members and Families,

We understand the importance of your upcoming exams, and we want to ensure you have the best possible preparation. In today's email, we have something special in store for you – two real-life SAT questions straight from the recent exams. An exclusive look into our Digital Library!
These questions have been carefully selected to help you sharpen your skills and familiarize yourself with the types of questions you may encounter in the upcoming exams later this year. By tackling these questions, you will not only gain valuable practice but also develop your critical thinking abilities and problem-solving techniques – essential qualities for SAT success.
So, let's dive right in and explore these challenging SAT questions together!
We encourage you to take a moment to answer them independently. This will allow you to gauge your initial understanding and thought process. It's perfectly fine if you don't know the answers right away; that's part of the learning process! Once you've taken a moment to answer the questions, read on for our commentary and explanations!
This question tests your skills in sentence placement. You need to know the main idea of the paragraph and the key ideas of each sentence in the paragraph.
The sentence the writer wants to add talks about Business using “something” to sell a product.
Key Ideas of each sentence:
Sentence 1 introduces the importance of fragrance by remarking on a director of fragrance development.
Sentence 2 mentions how fragrances affect our experiences and behaviors.
Sentence 3 emphasizes a fact mentioned previously to talk about how fragrances affect the marketing of some brands like Gain laundry.
Sentence 4 ties it together by introducing the creation of fragrances for consumer goods.
The answer is B. “This” in the sentence refers to the “fragrances [that] affect our perceptions and behaviors" to help business products.
Margin of Error is a statistical measure that quantifies the potential variability or uncertainty in a survey or sample results. It portrays a level of confidence within a population.
We need to understand the relationship between sample size and margin of error.
A larger sample size leads to a smaller margin of error, as it provides a more representative and reliable estimate of the population parameter.
If option A was true and Rana's sample contained more students than Micha's sample, it would likely result in a smaller margin of error for Rana's estimate. This could be due to a larger sample size providing a more precise estimate.
The answer is A. Rana's sample contained more students than Micha's sample, which explains why Rana obtained a smaller margin of error than Micha.
