Congratulations to Maggie for her college acceptances!
This email is written by Program Director Jasmine Ngo
Tigerway Team Members and Families,
As the year is drawing to a close, we have started receiving college acceptances from our Tigerway Megastars! This week, we would like to congratulate Maggie, who has been accepted into multiple universities for BioMedical Engineering! Maggie has been working closely with Coach Sreya Ravi through college consulting sessions and has shown remarkable progress and achievement in her work!
Our Tigerway Coaches are here to help you create a personalized college pathway that will increase your chances of being accepted to the university of your dreams.
Book a brainstorming session with us today and let us help you navigate your college pathway! During our brainstorming session, we will work with you to identify your strengths and interests, as well as review your academic performance, extracurricular activities, and other factors that can impact your admission. With this information, we will develop a comprehensive plan that includes specific strategies to enhance your application, such as building a strong portfolio, crafting a compelling personal statement, and preparing for interviews.
Last week, I covered important topics that you should focus on for the upcoming year. One of the sections I discussed was SAT/Standardized Exams. It is essential to achieve a solid SAT score and maintain good grades to set yourself ahead of other applicants in the future. It works best when you start early and you can start here!
Please take a moment to answer these questions before reading my commentary:
Jasmine’s Comments:
Look for a contrast between the earliest people refraining from eating meat and the later ones.
Eliminate (A) as it mentions the earliest people but shows consistency with modern practices.
(B) is correct, noting that early practitioners did not have the variety of meat substitutes available today.
Eliminate (C) and (D) for not making comparisons. (C) states a fact, and (D) only discusses those not eating meat today.
The answer is B
Jasmine’s Comments:
Two radii and an arc from each section are needed for the steel part. This means the amount of steel needed for one section is the length of the radius*2+the length of the outer arc
Divide 360 by 12 sections to find the central angle for each section = 30 degrees
Use the arc formula to determine the arc length
Formula becomes: 2r + π/6r yards of steel
Multiply by 4 bull sections and set equal to total yards of the whole circle
The answer is 8.
